For Laptop Rental Businesses
Keep every rented laptop safe, tracked, and paid for
One simple app to lock a laptop when someone stops paying, see where all your laptops are, check who you're renting to, and know who owes you money.
Made for laptop rental shops, leasing companies, and anyone who lends out laptops for a monthly fee.
The Problem
Renting out laptops is risky
Right now you're probably using a notebook, a spreadsheet, and a lot of trust. That's risky when every laptop is worth hundreds of dollars.
Laptops disappear
Once it leaves your shop, you can't see it, find it, or stop someone from using it.
People stop paying
You can't do anything when a customer stops paying, except call them again and again.
You don't know who you're renting to
Anyone can walk in, sign a paper, and walk out with a laptop.
Your records get messy
Spreadsheets and notebooks are easy to lose and hard to keep up to date.

If they stop paying, lock it. If all is well, renew their plan.

Other apps only do half the job

FAQ
Common questions from rental businesses
What is MDM? Do I really need it?
MDM stands for Mobile Device Management. It just means you can lock, find, or wipe a laptop from far away, using your phone or computer. If you rent out laptops, this is how you keep them safe.
Can I lock a laptop if someone stops paying?
Yes. If a customer misses a payment, you can lock their laptop with one click. They'll see a message telling them to pay you. Once they pay, it unlocks by itself.
How do I check if a customer is real before renting to them?
Before you hand over a laptop, the customer uploads their ID and proof of address. We check that it's real. They also sign your rental agreement right on their phone, so you're not guessing who you're dealing with.
What if a customer doesn't give the laptop back?
You can see the last place the laptop connected to the internet, and lock it right away. This makes it much easier to get your laptop back without going to court.
Does this work for both Windows laptops and MacBooks?
Yes. Whether your laptops are Windows or Mac, you manage all of them from the same simple screen.
How is this different from other apps?
Most apps only do one job: one locks laptops, another tracks who has them, another handles payments. LaptopFirst does all three together, so when someone stops paying, their laptop locks automatically — no extra work for you.
